For Fun
I’ve always been a dog person. I learned how to walk by holding onto the back of our family pet, the Dalmatian “Sherlock.” So it’s no big surprise that I’d adopted a rescue puppy of my own when I moved away from family and friends to a new state for an advertising job. In December of 2007, Tony the Terrier came into my life. I quickly became interested in dog training, and we eventually competed in dog agility competitions together. It’s been such a rewarding journey, and even though Tony’s retired now he still enjoys the occasional fun-run with friends.
Dog Agility
It all began when I rescued a 3.5 month old puppy and needed to find a way to drain his energy in the harsh winters of KCMO. After he cruised through basic training classes, we embarked on the dog agility journey.
This is a video of our 1st place run in the Novice devision of an AKC DASH agility competition in CA in 2012. The course is JWW: Jumps and Weaves. Go Tony!
Photography
I’m really inspired by architecture, sculpture, and nature. Even better when they overlap. In my photography I try to capture the feeling that I get when being there in person. Below are a few of my favorites.
